Mondays Menagerie {2}

A weekly wrap up of all the random things I’ve been enjoying this past week.  Things I love, or learned something from, things I think others might enjoy too.  I hope you appreciate them as well…and so, here are my weekly top 5 favorite things:

We Are The Champions!

1. This post by Kendall Conner over at The Creative Pastor on how they schedule posts for their social media to keep people interacting all week long…pretty AND informative.

2. This beautifully written post: “To My Sisters Still Waiting For Motherhood.” by Hannah Bunker.  Love how she articulates the fact that adoption is not the cure for barrenness.  Thank you.

3. Scrimmage last Tuesday with the Carolina Wreckingballs Men’s Derby…not all of them, but quite a few showed up and helped up prepare for our away bout this weekend against Cape Fear’s Blackhearts – which we WON!  PS: I love the fact that, although it’s a year old, the bout flyer I designed for the Backyard Brawl is still on their front page.

4. This post on Twitter from my wonderful husband who put up with a whole house full of derby craziness all weekend long in support of me and G*Force.

Twitter Lovin'

5.  I started reading a book called The Accidental Creative: How to be brilliant at a moment’s notice by Todd Henry.  I’m only a few chapters in, but there are some important life lessons to remember.  One of my favorites is: “… it means that you not only have great ideas, but that you actually do something with them.” Which is one thing I think a lot of people struggle with, especially with the “Pinterest Perfect” phenomenon where we all feel like we can’t measure up.
